Year of Inception (Hons.) – 1985

The Honours in Chemistry started in the year 1985 under the affiliation of Vidyasagar University. The department spread over adequate space has four modern laboratories with all facilities, ISO-9001 L.P.G gas plant and sophisticated instruments along with a store room for Chemicals and a Preparation room. The holding of the departmental library started in 1985 has now increased to over 600 books. Presently two minor research projects are running here smoothly.
