Department of Music has started its journey in the year of 2008, with General course of Music, Needless to say, subsequently satisfactory results and continuous demand of the students led the college to upgrade the course to Honours level in 2011. Music is established as scientific Fine Arts with evolution and development consecutively. It is very important subject among the three performing Arts like Music, Dance and Acting. It has various aspects, i.e.
Stage Performance, Programing in Television, Performing in Radio, Live Performance in various types of social media like Youtube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Drooble, Bandcamp, Sound cloud, Reverb nation to enrich Music Industry and for Entertainment of Public and self,
School, College, University Teaching.

Opportunity of Research etc. It is one of the enriched departments of the college. There is a departmental library having more than 89 books. Wall magazines are regularly published by the department. Field study and Education Tour are organized. The teachers of this department are engaged in Various programme, performance and social works.

N.B. Honours Students have to take 02 (Generic) papers in the entire Programme- Generic-I in Semesters-I & II and Generic-II in Semesters- III & IV. General students have to take any one subject from DSC-I and any two subjects- DSC-II and Generic. General will be awarded on the basis of the Subject chosen in DSC-I.
