Applications are being invited for admission to M.A./ M.Sc./ M.Com. 2022-23 in Bengali, English, Sanskrit, Physics & Techno physics, Chemistry and Commerce with Farm Management from candidates who have passed B.A./B.Sc./B.Com (Hons) in the subjects mentioned above. The candidates will have to fill up the Application Form only through ONLINE ADMISSION PORTAL (https://admission.pkcollegecontai.ac.in) of the college website (https://pkcollegecontai.ac.in).

• Eligibility:Students who have completed (either appeared or passed) Honours in respective subjects in 2021 or 2022 are eligible to apply. However, at the time of counseling-cum-admission, if selected, they (whose results are yet to be published) will have to show the original mark sheets of final examinations (Part-III/ VI SEM.), failing which their candidature will be rejected.

• The minimum marks being considered under all Category (I & II) :

M.A./M.Sc/ M.Com:

45% marks in respective Hons. subject (for Gen. Candidates)

40%  marks in respective Hons. subject (for SC / ST/OBC/PWD Candidates)

• Date of submission of Admission Form (online) will commence on: 01.09.2022

• Last date of submission of Application Form (online): 15.09.2022 up to 11-59 p.m.

** Forms with incomplete / wrong information or fake degree from fake University/Institute will be summarily rejected without any intimation through e-mail or SMS or any notice therein.

• Courses offered and Seat Matrix :

FOR CATEGORY I : STUDENTS OF V.U. (80% of total seats)

FOR CATEGORY II : OPEN COMPETITION (20% of total seats)

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

1. In compliance with the Order of the Govt. of West Bengal 80% of total seats in each subject will be reserved for the students of Vidyasagar University &Autonomous College(s) affiliated to the University (Category I ) and 20% seats will be for OPEN COMPETITION (Category II).
2. Students passed from the V.U. may apply for BOTH CATEGORY- I & CATEGORY- II.
3. CATEGORY I : HOME UNIVERSITY (V.U.) SEATS (80%) – Selection to be made on the basis of marks obtained in the Honours & Pass/ Generic Subjects only.
4. CATEGORY II: OPEN COMPETITION SEATS (20%) – Selection to be made on the basis of marks obtained in the Honours & Pass / Generic Subjects only.
5. Quota for SC/ST/OBC(A&B)/PWD/EWS will be considered as per Order of the Govt. of West Bengal. Number of seats will be calculated and considered separately for 80% seats of Category I and 20% seats of Category II. Fraction of 0.5 or more will be rounded to the next whole number.
6. 5% of the total seats in each category (GEN/SC/ST/OBC(A&B)/EWS) will be reserved for Persons With Disability (PWD). The percentage of disability will be considered in preparing the Merit list.
7. Consideration for the EWS category (10%), the student has to submit certificate from the Specified competent Authority as per Order of the Govt. of West Bengal
8. The admission will be cancelled if a student remains absent from classes for consecutive Seven days from the date of commencement of classes without any intimation to the College Authority and the admission fees paid will not be refunded.
9. If any candidate shifts to another institution without intimation to the College within Seven days from the last date of admission, the admission fees paid will not be refunded.
10. If a student applies to the College Authority for cancellation of his/her admission within Seven days from the last date of Admission, ten percent (10%) of the total admission fees will be deducted as processing fee and the rest will be refunded to candidate after submitting application to the authority with Account details.

GUIDELINES FOR ONLINEAPPLICATION

1. Please keep Scanned copies of Photo and Signature in .jpg / .jpeg format (5 KB – 80 KB each) and scanned copies of a)     Age Proof (within 500 kb), b)         Registration Certificate of last University (within 500 kb), c)         All Marksheets (both side) of UG (within 2 mb), d) Caste Certificate (if any) (within 500 kb) in .pdf format ready andproceed for online admission.
2. Fill in all the boxes in BLOCK LETTERS. Do not leave any (*) marked box empty.
3. Please upload Scanned copies of Photo and Signature in .jpg / .jpeg format (5 KB – 80 KB each)then click on next
4. Please upload Scanned copies of the following documents in PDF format
   1. * Age Proof (admit card of MP/Birth Certificate)(within 500 kb),
   2. * AADHAAR card(within 500 kb),
   3. * Registration Certificate of last University(within 500 kb),
   4. * All Mark sheets (both side) of UG(within 2 mb),
   5. Certificate for Reservation (if any)(within 500 kb),
   6. EWS Certificate (if any) (within 500 kb)
5. Please verify information before clicking the SUBMIT button for final submission.
6. After the submission of form successfully, take a PRINTOUT of the filled-up application form by clicking the PRINT button. Submit the PRINTOUT at the time of VERIFICATION OF DOCUMENTS.
7. DO NOT SUBMIT ANY HARD COPY to the College before the process of verification at the College.
8. Application form, incomplete in any respect or falsification, is liable to be cancelled without any intimation either through email or SMS.

N.B.: Candidates must preserve with them the following proof for FINAL VERIFICATION OF DOCUMENTS :

• The Printout of the Online form submitted (the candidate & guardian must put their signature in the form and the Anti-Ragging declaration (to be had with the Department)).
• Admit Card/Certificate of Secondary Examination (original and self-attested photocopy).
• Mark sheet of Higher Secondary Examination (original and self-attested photocopy).
• Registration Certificate of University (original and self-attested photocopy).
• Mark sheets of Part I, Part II & Part III at Undergraduate level (original and self-attested photocopy)
• SC/ST/OBC/PWD/EWS Certificate, if applicable (original and self-attested photocopy)
• Character certificate from the college last attended. (Original)
• AADHAAR Card (original and self-attested photocopy)
