B.Sc. (Honours in Anthropology) 

   1.

Anthropology is the study of what makes us human. Students will gain knowledge and understanding of the many different aspects of the human experience, which we call holism.

   2.

They will read and understand the various elements of humans, including biology and culture, in order to understand the human origin and the evolution of various beliefs and social customs

   3.

They will study the human race, its culture and society, and its physical development from socio-scientific perspectives.

   4.

It will enrich students’ knowledge and skill about this science that deals with the origins, physical and cultural development, biological characteristics, and social customs and beliefs of humankind.

   5.

They will read generally three subfields of anthropology. Each of the subfields teaches distinctive skills. However, the subfields also have a number of similarities. For example, each subfield applies theories, employs systematic research methodologies, formulates and tests hypotheses, and develops extensive sets of data.

Students will gain empirical knowledge of human beings and their ancestors through time and space and in relation to physical character, environmental and social relations, and culture.

   2.

They will study the human race, its culture and society, and its physical development from socio-scientific perspectives.

   3.

Through the study of three broad subfields of anthropology, students will gain knowledge and skill about this science that deals with the origins, physical and cultural development, biological characteristics, and social customs and beliefs of humankind.
