The Department of Philosophy, Prabhat Kumar College, Contai, Purba Medinipur (WB) organized the ICPR sponsored Periodical Lectures on 23rd December,2015 in the Seminar Hall of the college. More than two hundred participants from different colleges and universities participated in the said programme including the faculty members and students of our college. Two eminent Scholars in Philosophy from two different Universities viz, (1) Dr. Raghunath Gosh ,Professor, Department of Philosophy, North Bengal University, Darjeeling (WB) and (2)Dr. Papia Gupta, Associate Professor, Department of Philosophy, Vidyasagar University, Mednapore (WB) were invited as Resource Persons.

The Programme started with the Inaugural Song by the students of the Department of Philosophy, Prabhat Kumar College, Contai at 11.00am. It was inaugurated with welcome address by Dr. Amit Kumar De, Principal of the College and basic information regarding the Programme delivered by Dr. Soumya Kanti Sinha, HOD & Asst. Organizer of the Programme.
