The Department of Philosophy, Prabhat Kumar College, Contai, PurbaMedinipur (WB) organized the ICPR sponsored a state level seminar on “The Concept of Pramana in Indian Philosophy: A Reappraisal” on 4^th March,2015 in the Seminar Hall of the college. More than two hundred participants from different colleges and universities participated in the said programme including the faculty members and students of our college.Two eminent living Philosophers from two different Universities viz, (1) Dr. Raghunath Ghosh ,Professor, Department of Philosophy,North Bengal University,Darjeeling(WB) and (2) Mr. DipayanPattanayak, Associate Professor, Department of Philosophy, Jadavpur University, Jadavpur (WB) were invited as Resource Persons.

More than two hundred participants from different colleges and universities participated in the said programme including the faculty members and students of our college.Two eminent living Philosophers from two different Universities viz, (1) Dr. Bijayananda Kar ,Professor, Department of Philosophy,Utkal University,Odisha, (2) Dr. Papiya Gupta , Professor, Department of Philosophy & Life World , Vidyasagar University, Midnapore (WB),(3) Dr. Jhareswar Ghosh, Professor, Department of Philosophy, Gourbanga university, Malda(WB), and (4) Dr. patitapaban Das, Assistant professor, Ranvenshaw University,Cuttack,Odisha were invited as Resource Persons in the said programme.
