Women's Day Celebration 2025

As a part of the “Women's Day” celebration, the ‘Women's Cell’ of the College is going to Organize a Cultural Competition on 7^th March 2025. We are inviting all students to participate in the cultural competitions in the events including singing, dancing, poetry, drawing, and essay writing.

To participate, the willing students can enroll their names with the respective Head of the Department (HOD) on or before 5^th March 2025. The competition will begin at 1.00 p.m. on the day and all the participants are asked to remain present at the Vivekananda Seminar Hall within 12:45 p.m. on 7^th  March, 2025.  Winners will be awarded on 8^th March, 2025 during the "Women's Day Celebration" program in the Seminar Hall (Vivekananda Bhawan) at forenoon and the 1^st prize winners in singing, dancing, and recitation will perform on stage.

Details of the events

1. Solo Singing

Song – “Ami tomar matir kanya janani basundhara” -- Written by Rabidranath Tagore.

“আমি তোমার মাটির কন্যা জননী বসুন্ধরা” ………… গীতিকার রবীন্দ্রনাথ ঠাকুর

2. Solo Dance

Song- “Jago nari jago banhisikha” ………. Written by Kazi Nazrul Islam

“জাগো নারী জাগো বহ্নিশিখা” ………. গীতিকার কাজী নজরুল ইসলাম

3. Solo Recitation

Any poem with a women’s related topic (A poem with 20 lines or higher is eligible for the competition.) 

‘নারী কেন্দ্রিক যে কোনো কবিতা’

(কবিতা কমপক্ষে ২০ পংক্তি বা তার বেশি প্রতিযোগিতায় স্বাগত। এটি ন্যূনতম যোগ্যতা।)

4. Drawing Competition

Topic of drawing will be ‘Unsung Heroes: Women Freedom Fighters’ (Participants are asked to bring their pencil, colour etc. Only paper will be provided. Time: 1.30 hr)

অঙ্কনের বিষয় : ‘বিস্মৃত বীরাঙ্গনাগণ: স্বাধীনতা যুদ্ধে নারী’

(প্রতিযোগীরা তাদের রং, পেন্সিল সঙ্গে করে আনবে। কেবলমাত্র অঙ্কনের কাগজ দেওয়া হবে। সময়: দেড় ঘন্টা)

5. Essay Writing

Topic: ‘Contribution of Vidyasagar and Vivekananda in Women’s Education’: (Word limit: 1500, Time: 2.00 hr.) 

প্রবন্ধের বিষয়: "নারী শিক্ষায় বিবেকানন্দ ও বিদ্যাসাগর - এঁদের দুজনের অবদান"

(১৫০০ শব্দের মধ্যে লিখতে হবে। সময়: দেড় ঘন্টা)
