Observances

The department has a cultural legacy since its inception. Scholar and writer like Kshitimohan Sen, Prabodh Kumar Sanyal visited the department on Tagore’s Birthday in early 50s. Different types of cultural programmes were arranged by the department throughout the year like recitation, seat & draw, drama, essay competition etc. Some of it can be found on YouTube channel. Our students take part in the various inter-college competition and other competitions arranged by the Government of W.B. and institutions. We kept our students’ paintings and stitching in the department. In this way we inspire our students’ cultural activities.
