Year of Inception (Hons.) – 1998
Due to demand of the students of Contai Sub-division and adjoining areas B. Sc. Course in Biological Science was introduced in 1981 with Zoology, Botany and Chemistry under the University of Calcutta. Subsequently satisfactory result and demand of the students forced the College to upgrade the course to Honours level in Zoology in 1998.
