Admission Notification:

Applications are invited in prescribed form through online for admission in to NCTE recognised Two Years B.Ed. Programme for the session 2024-26 of the College in pursuant to the G.O. No. 536-Edn(CS)/10M-20/2015. Date: 06.08.2024.

General Information:

1. Applications are invited for admission to two Years B.Ed. Programme for session 2024-26.
2. Total Number of Seats (Two Units of 50 students each) – Home University (VU) - 80 and Other University (OU) - 20. Reservation policy of Govt. of WB will be followed strictly. (Detail in seat distribution).

1. All applications are to be made through online portal of the College Website only.
2. Printout (All Pages) of Application form Generated after successful online submission to be submitted in the College office with requisite documents positively failing of which the application will not be considered.
3. All the admitted students have to secure the required percentage of attendance to become eligible for appearing at all the final examinations as well as in the Internal Assessment. Students whose attendance is found below of that in any subject will be treated as dis-collegiate, and will be barred from appearing in the examinations, as per guideline of Vidyasagar University and Norms of NCTE, 80% attendance in Theoretical Paper and 90% attendance in Practical Paper are mandatory to complete the course. If any students remain absent consecutively for Six (6) days without prior permission, his/her name may be cancelled.

Eligibility:

• Only the Pass out students of UG and or PG are eligible to apply.
• General Candidates with at least 50% marks as a whole either in Bachelor’s Degree or in Master’s degree (55% for Technical Students) are eligible. In case of SC/ST/PH Category candidates with 45% marks either in Bachelor’s Degree or in Master’s degree in Arts/Science/Commerce (for Technical Students 50% in Bachelor / Master Degree) can apply.
• The available method subjects (Language Teaching, Mathematics Teaching, Social Science Teaching & Science Teaching) are taught in the college.
• Fresher Candidates must be within 38 years of age as on 30.06.2024. Reservation of seats for SC/ST/OBC(A&B)/PWD/EWS Candidates will be followed as per W.B. Govt. Rules.
• Candidates pursuing any other Course of Studies/Job/Full-time Research Work will not be allowed to pursue this course simultaneously in the same shift.
