As the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore proposes that ‘every accredited institution should establish an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) as a post-accreditation quality sustenance measure’, the IQAC, Prabhat Kumar College, Contai has become a part and parcel of the institutional system and work towards realizing the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance since its date of inception , June 7,2007. It was reformed on December 17, 2010. Further, in the meeting of the Governing Body held on February 10, 2011, it was proposed that IQAC of the college be reconstituted in compliance with the guidelines of the NAAC. The Governing Body accepted the proposal and the first full-fledged IQAC of the college was formed on February 21, 2011. Existing composition of IQAC is active since 12.09.2017.
Objectives of IQAC
- To develop catalytic improvement in the overall performance of the college
- To channelize all efforts and measures of the institution towards promoting its holistic academic excellence
- To guide and encourage the teachers towards quality enhancement through research activities and conducting seminars / workshops
- To develop a system towards better administrative performance of the college
- To facilitate the creation of a learner centric environment conductive for quality education
- To encourage the students towards socio-cultural and moral up gradation

- Through establishing procedures and modalities for collecting data on various aspects of institutional functioning.
- Through evolving well defined and feasible work plans.
- Through reviewing and specifying the various quality control measures.
- Through accessing the degree of accomplishment.
- Through ensuring the efficient and effective execution of all measures adopted for healthy growth of institution.
- Through preparing AQARs submitted to the NAAC.
- Through preparing any other reports as may be decided by NAAC from time to time.
