Detailed Guidelines for the candidates of final semester postgraduate examination, 2020

The following guidelines are being issue in consonance with the guidelines of the Vidyasagar University vide its memo no. VU/CE/GD-2544/2020 dated 10.09.2020 and other relevant orders/guidelines:

  1. The Final Semester Examination 2020 of Postgraduate Programmes offered by Prabhat Kumar College, Contai shall be conducted following the schedule as prepared and circulated by the Vidyasagar University and the details will be notified in the College website.

  2. The Examination Portal will be functional from 27.09.2020.

  3. Downloadable Admit Cards will be available on the college website from 26.09.2020 by using student id and registered mobile number. In case of any problem with the mobile number already registered in the College database the concerned student must communicate with the College office via the mail pkcollege.contai@gmail.com for an alternative mobile number to be registerednewly.

  4. Candidates are advised to download their Admit Card from the college website at the time of registering themselves in the Examination Portal within 29.09.2020.  For any problem, candidates are asked to send a mail with the id mentioned above. All such communications should be done with proper student id.

  5. The students should write the answer on the specific answer sheet to be downloaded by them. Format of the Answer Sheet (separately allocated for each candidate) will be available in the Examination Portal from 11.00 am, 27.09.2020. Candidates must login to download the answer booklet. It is advisable to download and print multiple pages of the answer booklet well in advance.

  6. On the day of examination, the College Examination Cell will upload the question paper for the day in the Examination portal. Candidates will be able to download the question paper by logging on their account in the Examination Portal.

  7. The question paper will be available on the Portal an hour before the scheduled commencement of examination.

  8. Each candidate should write answers on the answer sheet only allocated for him / her. Candidates will only write the Course Number and the date of examination. On downloading the question paper, the candidates will start writing the paper in legible handwriting at the scheduled hour. On completion, they will to upload a single PDF file to be made from the scanned copies of their answer sheets in their respective accounts in the Examination portal.

  9. Alternatively, they can send an e-mail to the Examination Cell of the college- examcell@pkcollegecontai.ac.in. In this case the candidates shall be required to write their Discipline and Roll No in the Subject Box of E-mail.

  10. Candidates who because of technical difficulties, may not be able to upload their answerscripts on the portal or e-mail it in due time shall be required to submit the Hard Copy of the answerscript in Sealed Envelope mentioning the examination details (Name of the Examination, Name of the Candidate, Discipline, Registration Number, Roll Number& Course Number) in the DROP BOX, to be specially kept for that purpose in the College Office within 5.00 p.m. that very day of examination.

  11. Candidates are encouraged to use the Online Mode. It is only in case of extreme difficulty that they may avail the facility detailed in the previous clause.

In all examination related activities the SOP of the Union Govt shall be strictly adhered to.
